Cherry Blossom framing the Jefferson Memorial

By Kathryn Mosteller
Each spring, I delight in walking around the Tidal Basin while the cherry trees are in bloom. I have favorite trees that I re-visit and photograph each year. Some years, the blossoms are just opening as was the case this year, but some years they are bright white or fluffy pink when I visit. I love that I never know exactly what I'll be seeing when I arrive.
