Heart of Annecy
By Michael Jones
This 2012 shot was taken in the center of old Annecy. The Palais de I'lle is the heart of the town. The building has been an administrative center, a bank, a mint, a jail, and is now a major tourist draw in the town.
Old Annecy is bustling at night with diners and tourists, but the long exposure helped to give the shot a calm feel. The lighting was otherworldly and the reflections summoned the ghosts of Annecy's past.
