Good Vibrations
By Michael Roane
I do a lot of filming of birds on the Patuxent River. One morning, I spotted a river otter swimming along the edge of some reeds on the water's edge. I had to move to the other side of the pier and, when I did, the otter saw me and ducked under water. I figured it would resurface shortly but, as I was waiting, I realized the reflection I was looking at was probably more engaging than the otter.
