Taken during a photo-hike in Boulder, CO, this shot came after a much more arduous journey through Boulder Canyon. This was a warmer day in the middle of several freezing snows, during which the ducks were enjoying the partially-thawed Boulder Creek. The mountains offered a textured backdrop, giving a little more depth to the picture.
