Determined to beat the sun before it decided to set on me, I ran up the 1.5 mile trail to Delicate Arch with 40 lbs of gear, as fast as I could. I made it to the top just as the sun was setting, and I had to take my shot. I stuck around for about ten minutes photographing, then before I knew it... it was pitch black out. The rest is a story I'll never forget, and from that day forward, I'll never go on a trip without a flashlight.
