Fly Away
By Ike Schwartz
This picture was inspired by the familiar scene of a child losing a balloon to the force of wind (or helium). From the balcony of my 35 story apartment, I waited until a nice shadow would be cast at sunset, and let loose shooting. I used sowing string to tether the balloon to my arm, and repeatedly cast off the balloon until satisfaction. Some brief time was spent in CS6 straightening and blurring, but eventually the right effect was achieved, albeit some strange looks from neighbors.
