July Photo Challenge: Use A Shadow As A Subject

Me and My Sadow, Darlin'

By Gary Paige
It is sunrise. Thousands of Elegant Terns and Hermann's Gulls fill the land, the cliffs, the air. Searching, feeding, courting, and mating are everywhere. The sound is near pain threshold. Elated shock describes the emotion. Where to begin, and when to end? This is a full but challenging environment. The image here is one of several surprises--the shadow image of the suitor, bearing gifts, on his potential mate was moving. I was compelled to stop for some seconds to simply watch and wonder.
