July Photo Challenge: Use A Shadow As A Subject

Bridge to the Past

By Eric Craft
Intended to be in black and white, these shadows against the sun-drenched, weather-worn boards give real drama. Hundreds maybe thousands of names and initials carved into the boards of the bridge. Sweethearts declaring their love, forbidden romances marking their secret love. Names carved boldly into the 'X' supports. Other names scratched deep in the shadowed boards. Messages frozen in time.
