January Photo Challenge: Falling Precipitation

Sego Lily

By Tom Shaffer
This is a wild flower common to this part of country called Sego Lily or Mariposa Lily. I was driving through this section of the Medicine Bow National Forest looking for some wet weather shots on this rainy day and spotted a field of flowers. I used a large plastic bag with a hole for the lens to protect the camera. I shot long to blur the background. Yes, those are real rain drops on the flower.
