January Photo Challenge: Falling Precipitation

When Snowflakes Collide

By John Lamont
Shot this with my 100mm Canon macro lens attached to a Canon 7D with a Sigma macro flash. My settings were 1/250 f10 iso200. I had started to snow and there is a rusty shed in the backyard and I thought that would make a great background thrown out of focus. Relying on manual focus and some patience I was able to capture this cluster of snowflakes falling from the sky.
