January Photo Challenge: Falling Precipitation

Snow Day Duck

By Jennifer Leigh Warner
On a cold day in December I looked outside my back door and saw the ducks that lived in the pond behind my house playing in the snow. Living in western Washington State the wildlife here don't get the chance to see much snow. I was so grateful to get to see the wonder on their faces as they experienced the beautiful flakes falling from the sky.
