January Photo Challenge: Falling Precipitation

Snow at night

By Richard Linton
A light snow was falling at night so I walked around the neighborhood. This fruit tree caught my eye with the snow sticking to it, the side lighting from the streetlamp, and the light snow. I wanted the snow as streaks hence the 2.5sec exposure. I converted to B+W for a "colder" image and to make the snow stand out more and the tree more in silhouette.
