Gentoo Penguin in snowstorm

Strong winds and shifting ice made it difficult to land here to observe nesting Gentoo Penguins. Snow and gray skies added to our appreciation of what it takes for a penguin to survive, even in the spring, and added a wonderful ambience to my photograph.
