Self-portrait with the Temple of the Moon in the Peruvian Desert
By Hector BeltrandelRio
Myself, the Temple of the Moon, and the Peruvian desert are reflected in the window of the Museo Huacas de Moche in northern Peru. The Temples of the Sun and Moon, two of the largest adobe structures in the Americas, were constructed by the Moche around 100-450 C.E. The museum exhibits the accomplishments of the Moche civilization in this inhospitable environment. This photograph is testimony to my love of photography and exploring the ruins of ancient civilizations all over the world.
