The Pottu Baby

By Lee Pei Khim
According to the Hindus, the dot in the centre of the forehead symbolizes happiness and well-being. Also said to be the third eye, it is called the pottu. The pottu in black on babies and young children's foreheads is believed to ward off evil spirits. Totally love the little Indian baby with the thick eyebrows, the huge black pottu and the perfectly beautiful eyes. :)
