Two pieces of 2x4 were laid between 2 aluminum step ladders as illustrated in the accompanying photo. On that set-up, I would lay flat on my stomach, with camera ready to take photos at any moment when the bird would come for a drink. Sometimes the bird showed up at every 20-25 minutes, but sometimes there was no show. At the proper angle, and with perfect lighting, one can notice the color on the bird's throat... Yellow + Red + Green
