Elvis Halilović is a Slovenian industrial designer, carpenter, and photographer — and he's combined all three of his passions into a single project: ONDU pinhole cameras. This is a Kickstarter to fund the creation of a series of wooden pinhole cameras, designed and build by Halilović and his brother themselves.

But a new patent awarded to Apple could substantially boost their capability, by tapping into other devices around you to function as slaved off-camera lighting. By linking together your iPhone with those of a number of friends, you could provide a substantial boost to the lighting of a situation.

Black-and-white photographs—portraits and close-up details of objects—lined the walls, along with heartfelt statements from the 20 photographers. The crowd included the artists’ friends and family, a famous photographer or two, scores of well-wishers, and even a service dog. I was one of two featured speakers (the other was Brendon Stanton, the photographer/founder of the popular Humans of New York street portrait site).
