Vivitar offers a truly 'throwback' deal

Vivitar is using a cheesy infomercial-type ad to offer a “throwback” deal for consumers who just cant seem out of place on the shelves of a thrift shop. You also get two rolls of film.

Nothing goes out of style for good—vinyl records, flannel shirts, beards, and perms have all made a comeback (ok, maybe perms haven’t yet, but they will), so isn’t it about time low-end 35mm film point-and-shoot cameras were cool again?

Vivitar is using a cheesy infomercial-type ad to offer a “throwback” deal for consumers who just can't seem to figure out how digital cameras work. For about $10 (plus shipping and handling), you get two truly outdated point-and-shoot cameras that wouldn't seem out of place on the shelves of a thrift shop. You also get two rolls of film.

The video is equal parts funny and depressing, which makes it perfect viewing material for a Friday afternoon.
