FROM OUR EDITORS AT PHOTOKINA: To accompany the launch of their new flagship camera, the K-5, Pentax also announced the launch of their new 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 wide-to-telezoom lens (27.5-207mm 35mm equivalent).
Meant for a wide range of shooting conditions, the 18-135mm, like the K-5, is weather-sealed to withstand damp and inclement weather. The glass itself is also covered in Pentax’s easy to clean Super Protect coating to repel dust, grease and anything else you may come in contact with.
It features Pentax’s Direct Current motor for a quick and quiet autofocus as well as Pentax’s Quick Shift focus system to allow for painless on-the-fly focus mode changing. Also an aspherical lens element helps to prevent spherical aberration and increase the quality of images.
Like the K-5, this new Pentax wide-to-telezoom will be available in October for $529.95
