Hands On: Seagate Replica comforts you after a hard drive crash

The concept of automatic back-up using software isns it.

The concept of automatic back-up using software isn't exactly new, but Seagate's latest drive has only one mission: Overcome your laziness and make sure there's another copy of your file library living somewhere when your hard drive gives up the ghost.

Plugging in the drive almost felt a little weird. The slim case has only one USB port in the back and nothing else except a logo and a light to let you know it's working. Click through a couple boxes and that's it. It goes to work copying every single piece of data on your drive so when calamity happens, you can just slap everything back together. I can't really comment on the user interface because there really isn't one.
