García de Oteyza Named Aperture’s New Executive Director
Considering the wide range of projects overseen by the Aperture Foudation, García de Oteyza's will be able to utilize his extensive experience in publishing, curating, and fundraising, which includes serving as Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Institute in New York, working as CEO and Editorial Director of Turner Publicaciones SL in Madrid, and starting his own publishing venture, Eridanos Press, with Andrea Nasi.
Juan García de Oteyza, a huge name in the photo and larger art world, has been appointed Executive Director of Aperture Foundation, according to a statement released today. García de Oteyza will assume the Aperture post in July once he has fulfilled his duties as the Cultural Attaché of the Mexican Embassy to the United States.
