Chris Detrick got this shot last December 15 while covering a game between Pepperdine and Brigham Young University for the Salt Lake City Tribune. It's been getting around, and I just saw it in a German photo magazine called View. That's Pepperdine's Jason Walberg applying a Vulcan mind meld to BYU's Jonathan Tavernari. Detrick is a really fine photographer, and you can see his work here. BYU won, 86 to 67, and Tavernari, uninjured, ended up with 10 points.
