With the explosion of reality TV in recent years
photographers are finally beginning to get their due. Flip through the cable
universe these days and you're likely to see fashion photographers featured on shows
like "America's
Next Top Model" and celebrity photographers on networks like MTV and VH1. The
BBC has even produced a brilliant documentary on paparazzi, focusing on the love-him-or-hate-him
Darryn Lyons, founder of celebrity agency Big Pictures.

The latest photographer-turned-reality-star is
Alaska-based wildlife photographer Jim Oltersdorf, who is the subject of a
new episode of the Discovery Channel’s documentary series “Risk Takers 2.”
