User Review: Canon EOS 5D
V. Soldo writes in this week from Torrance, Calif., telling us about his experience with the Canon EOS 5D. As a former Canon EOS 20D and Nikon D80 user, he is able to offer a new insight into the 5D and how it compares to its competitors. Soldo says:
What's Hot: Picture quality is very good, excellent color, noise reduction at 3200 ISO is very good, true 3.5 fps, menu/setup is easy to use, view finder accuracy
What's Not: Not fully weather resistant, CF door, no GPS, LCD is hard to read in sunlight, AF point 15 for the price should be like the 1D's,

Want to try something completely different with Photoshop? Open an original image in Photoshop and desaturate it (Image > Adjustments > Desaturate or press Ctrl-Shift-U simultaneously). Select the History Brush Tool (or type the letter "Y") and "paint" the colors back onto selected portions of the picture leaving the rest black and white. It's the modern equivalent of "Paint by Numbers" that was all the rage decades ago.
