Sony's 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 DT AF lens is the widest lens available for Sony's Alpha 100 and Alpha 700 DSLRs. The lens, which has a 35mm-equivalent zoom range of 16.5mm-27mm, features an internal focusing system where the lens's rear elements move to provide rapid auto-focus response. The lens features aspherical lens elements to reduce distortion with super-wide-angle shots. In a lab test, the lens controlled distortion so well that it would probably be our first choice among DSLR optics for architecture. The Sony 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 DT AF lens is available with an MSRP of $649.95.
