Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/2.8

Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/2.8

Price (MSRP): $250.00
TYPE: Fixed Focal Length Lens - Normal

The Olympus f/2.8 25mm pancake lens is an addition to its Zuiko Digital line of Four-Thirds-mount optics. The lens provides the same angle of view as a 50mm lens on a 35mm film camera. Extremely compact, it extends less than an inch from the camera body when mounted and weighs just 3.35-ounces. The lens includes an aspherical rear element to minimize optical flaws and maintain edge-to-edge sharpness. Like other Zuiko Digital lenses, it incorporates a processor that communicates with Olympus SLRs to correct any shading and distortion that might occur. The lens can focus as close as 7.87 inches and has a 22mm minimum aperture. It takes 43mm filters and is compatible with Olympus’s extension tube and tele converters. The 25mm lens will be available in May 2008 as part of a $699.99 kit that includes Olympus’s new E-420 digital SLR. The lens will also be available individually for approx. $250.
