Your Best Shot Gallery: October 2012
Mine!

The October Your Best Shot contest is always a fun one. There's always a solid mix of genres, from landscapes to portraits. There's even a healthy portion of self-portraits in the mix this month, which we love to see. So, check out the gallery and get inspired. Then, head over to our contest page for your chance to show off your work and possibly get published in the pages of Popular Photography. The official winner will be announced in a future issue of the mag.

By GABOR BALAZS

A few days ago I ventured out to my favorite location on the river Maumee near Toledo, OH. Not many egrets or herons that day but plenty of seagulls, who ventured very close to me (I was lying on the ground). I captured this screaming seagull which immediately reminded me of the seagulls from Finding Nemo :)
