Some of the images in the slideshow might not be absolutely sharp (notably the motocross images) due to the fact that Phil had to pan along with this subjects and, as seasoned shooters will know, if you don't absolutely match your subject's speed while panning there will be some loss in sharpness.
After his time in San Diego, Phil came back to New York and ran the A77 through the Popular Photography Test Lab. The full test, with lab results, are now available both here on our site and in the November 2011 issue of Popular Photography magazine.
