Winning Hand 
Though he nearly passed it by, this statuette of dogs playing poker in a shop window stopped our Technical Editor Philip Ryan in his tracks. He quickly doubled back to capture this image with the Pentax K-x set to 1/1000 sec at f/4, ISO 800, with a 17–70mm f/4 Pentax DA SDM lens zoomed to 70mm (105mm equivalent).
