You've no doubt heard rumblings about it in your Facebook newsfeed already: Facebook is changing up their look again. This time, though, it looks like it might actually be for the better.The overall tone of the announcement is that they're trying to cut out as much clutter as possible and make Facebook stuff even easier to consume. Obviously, this puts a large focus on photos, which Facebook gets billions (yes, with a "B") every month.

Sometimes I get a bit of blowback from readers when I cover Facebook news here on our beloved photography site, but with literally billions of photos every month being uploaded to the service, it's impossible to ignore. Now, the fruits of of Facebook's Instagram purchase are starting to to ripen. First, there was the new Instagram-like layout for their mobile app and now there's a full-blown Facebook camera app they hope will increase their photo-hosting dominance.

After months of rumors, Apple has just announced the new version of the iPad. It has a faster processor, a new camera on par with the one found in the iPhone 4s and a new screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1563. That's a lot of pixels. Maybe even too many.

The world of cloud image hosting is currently exploding, especially with services like Adobe's Carousal which promise to let you pull in photos from your iPhone, iPad and Mac onto cloud storage to be accessed anywhere. The newly announced Everpix takes a similar mindset of grabbing images from multiple services, and turns in up to 11.
