Any photographer who has visited a major city with their camera knows that the rules governing photography can be tricky. Tripods, flash and other external equipment are often off limits on city streets and transit systems. Many cities also have restrictions commercial vs. personal photography, which can be hard to enforce. And it’s a given that you’ll need a permit if you plan to set up camp at a location for more than 10-15 minutes at most places.
