Samsung has announced a new 14.6-megapixel digital SLR in the lead-up to the 2008 PMA trade show in Las Vegas, NV. The camera appears to be identical to the Pentax K20D, announced earlier this week, with the exception that it saves RAW images in DNG format only, while the K20D provides a choice of DNG or Pentax’s PEF format.

The GX-20 will be available in March 2008. Samsung has announced a $1399 retail price for the camera (body only), but we expect the actual street price to be substantially lower, given the $1299 price tag on the K20D.
