Olympus Holds "Photographers of Tomorrow" Student Contest

Olympus will open its inaugural "Photographers of Tomorrow" contest in January 2008. The competition will award three students at participating schools (and their professors) for winning images shot with an Olympus E-3 SLR. Students may submit two images in each of three thematic categories: Speed, Travel, and Environment Issues. Olympus will begin accepting submissions on January 14, 2008. The contest will be judged by a panel of Olympus Visionaries photographers, and the winning images will be announced in April 2008.

The student who submits the winning image in each category will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship, an Olympus E-3 digital SLR, ED 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 SWD and ED 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 SWD lenses, and an Olympus travel bag and lens cloth. A professor of each of the winning students will also be awarded the camera, lenses, and accessories.

A list of participating schools and complete contest rules are available on Olympus's Web site.
