Olympus has introduced a new 10-megapixel digital SLR with an exceptionally compact design. The Evolt E-410 offers a 2.5-inch live-view LCD, an improved system for removing dust from the sensor, and a new 49-area metering system. The camera also uses Olympus's new TruePic III image processor.
The E-410 will be available in May 2007. It has a Four Thirds lens mount and is compatible with Olympus's E system accessories, including the new PT-E-03 underwater housing and a new wired remote control. It will be sold for $699 (body only), in a $799 kit with Olympus's new 14mm-42mm lens, and in an $899 two-lens kit that also includes the new 40mm-150mm lens.
