Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N1

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N1

Price (MSRP): $499.95
Megapixel: 8.1
TYPE: Ultra-Thin Digital Compact

With a 3-inch touchscreen LCD and a retractable Zeiss zoom lens, this ultracompact metal camera offers a feature set designed for automatic snapshot photography. It provides a handful of programmed automatic modes, as well as a basic set of image parameter adjustments. The lens favors a narrow angle of view, with a 38-114mm (35mm equivalent) focal-length range. You can use the touchscreen to write on photos with a stylus; the camera will save VGA copies of the images with graffiti and large originals without. You can also fill the N1's 26MB internal memory with photos that you want to keep on hand for slideshow displays with music, letting the N1 double as a digital photo wallet. The N1 is compatible with an optional underwater housing and Sony's CSS-TNA Cyber-shot Station USB dock, which charges the camera's battery, transfers images to a computer or TV, and comes with a remote control.
