Leica's DigiLux 3 is the German company's first purely digital Leica mirror reflex system camera with interchangeable lenses. The DigiLux 3 is the first model of the Leica's new D system, and features a bayonet lens mount to the Four/Thirds open systems standard first introduced to the industry at Photokina 2004. The camera offers a range of features including: image stabilization, and 7.5MP resolution utilizing; a LiveMOS sensor for real time live photo function; and new sensor technology and a new image processor combine to ensure faster image processing and storage of files. The Leica D Vario-Elmarit 2.8-3.5/28-100mm ASPH exchangeable lens offers the Four/Thirds bayonet mount. The DigiLux features a 2.5-inch LCD, the option of shooting in 4:3, 2:3, and 16:9 formats, records RAW and JPEG files to SD media, and offers the choice of sRGB and Adobe RGB color spaces.
