This full-frame digital SLR has an unusually mixed lineage, with Kodak imaging, storage, and power technology; Sigma AF, metering, and exposure technology; and compatibility with Canon lenses and flash units. Its body is clearly made by Sigma, and some of the controls and ergonomics lack finesse, although it does incorporate a vertical release. Likewise, its drive mode falls down by pausing a full minute after a burst and its AF system isn't the most powerful, failing to lock onto details below EV 2 at ISO 100. However, the SLR/c's metering, white balance, and exposure systems do a good job, and its high resolution and large sensor make for strong image quality. It offers some unusual functions, such as flash sync to 1/6000 second in focal plane mode, a High Performance Low Noise mode that captures long exposures with low noise at ISO 6, and a lens optimization feature that corrects chromatic aberration. Kodak has discontinued this camera but still provides support for it.
