Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro

Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro

Price (MSRP): $2,399.00
Megapixel: 6.17
TYPE: Digital SLR

Based on a Nikon N80 body but built around a Fujifilm Super CCD, this midrange digital SLR has been a favorite of wedding and portrait photographers. It offers excellent image quality, it's compatibile with Nikon lenses, flash units (although not the newer i-TTL ones), and accessories. It offers plenty of custom functions as well. Nice touches include voice annotation and a 1.8 percent spot. The S2 Pro has been around for a while, and has been replaced in Fuji's lineup by the FinePix S3 Pro. This model's age shows in its relatively slow drive mode, lack of USB 2.0 support (the FireWire port compensates), and inconvenient multiple-battery-type power system. There's also no vertical release incorporated into this mid-size camera, as there is in the S3 Pro. On the other hand, it can now be found for much, much less than its original list price.
