Fujifilm FinePix E900

Fujifilm FinePix E900

Price (MSRP): $499.95
Megapixel: 9
TYPE: Digital Compact

A compact camera with a rounded grip and a retractable 4x zoom lens, the E900 uses Fuji's 5th-generation Super CCD HR and RP Processor to achieve high resolution and a visual noise level that remains moderately low at ISO 800. We found the E900's image quality excellent at ISO 100 and lower, and still extremely high at ISO 200 to 800. Its exposure controls include easy-to-use manual settings, shiftable programmed automatic exposure, priority modes, and a small number of programmed automatic scene modes. The E900's advanced feature set includes RAW capture, a live histogram, and metering and focusing options galore. Its autofocus is fast in medium to bright light and still moderately fast in low light. This FinePix offers three continuous shooting modes, and can capture smooth VGA video with sound. The camera's low-magnification optical viewfinder isn’t very accurate, and there's no hotshoe on the E900, but its optics are compatible with optional conversion lenses.
