The Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Digital Elph is powered by the Digic III engine and incorporates optical image stabilization, face detection technology, a 2.5 inch LCD and a 4x zoom (35-140mm equivalent). The SD850 IS borrows a page from the Lensbaby Creative Aperture kit, with the Creative Light Effect shooting mode, which turns specular highlights into hearts, stars and more -- one of 18 shooting modes, including full manual included in this camera. The SD850 also features an optical viewfinder -- a rarity in compact digicams these days. Additionally, the SD850 IS Digital Elph is "Windows Vista Ready" without any additional downloads or upgrades. The SD850 IS is 3.56-inches long, 2.22-inches high and 1.04-inches wide, and weighs in at only 5.82 ounces per manufacturer specifications. Suggested retail price is $399.
