Extreme Field Test: Leica M8 in Iraq
Specialist Loren Brinson, 21, from Panama City, Fla., guarded a Joint Security Station in Western Baghdad as part of President Bush's so called "surge" plan. Brinson and I chatted about life back home, and the difficulty of reintegrating. He told me he couldn't go to nightclubs anymore because the thumping music makes his heart start pounding, reminding him of his time in Iraq. I told him I couldn't either because I hated dancing.
