From the outside, the D300 looks a lot like the D200. But what's on the inside pushed the D300 to new performance records in the Pop Photo Lab.

Nikon D300

With no AC power for studio lights within 3 miles of this lake, I used a Nikon SB-800 flash to provide a secondary light. It was mounted on a light in shallow water to the right of the model and triggered even at that distance by the D300 popup flash. But this first shot was overexposed. 1/200 sec at f/9, ISO 200. 135mm focal length on 135mm lens.
