The new Leica M8 ($4,800, estimated street, body only) digital rangefinder comes with a Kodak-built 10.3-megapixel CCD sensor. At 18x27mm, the chip is larger than the usual APS-C-sized sensor. This provides an FOV crop factor of 1.33x, versus 1.5x to 1.6x for a DSLR with an APS-C-sized chip. So a 21mm lens is effectively a 28mm.
