Camera Review: Nikon Coolpix P50
Mark Lent
Boats of all sizes and descriptions are moored side-by-side in Bayou La Batre and offer a lot of mood in shooting situations. Even with a $160 point-and-shoot camera, it's hard not to walk away with several good images in this little town. I was impressed that the P50 kept a significant amount of detail in the blacks while still keeping the textures in the whites and higher key colors. This was shot on manual with an exposure of 1/250th of a second at F5.6 and an ISO of 64.
