If you have less than two bills to drop on a camera, you should seriously consider the Nikon Coolpix P50.

The P50 caught the coloring of the late afternoon sunset by using the "Sunset/Dawn" mode. The camera captured an impressive amount of detail in the rope and has kept noise to a minimum. Exposed at 1/60th of a second at F2.8 at ISO 127.
