That's one noisy pooch! Noise is visible even in well-lit areas of this image, captured at ISO 400 on the streets of Venice. Caught under ugly vapor light, the dog appears with a greenish tint. Mixed light made it difficult for the camera to white balance using auto white balance, though colors appear more accurate in the brighter background scene. While fill flash would have helped combat noise, color balancing with flash in mixed light is difficult on the fly. Optical image stabilization helped keep elements sharp with this handheld capture. 0.6 sec at f/2.8 @ ISO 400.
