To try this yourself, start with a simple scene, as we illustrate here. We want a clean shot of this gritty, faded, peeling paint on the back side of the famous Roseland Ballroom. But there's too much foot traffic to do it all in one shot, so we're going to set up a tripod to ensure pixel alignment and fire off several frames over the next minute to ensure that we've got the entire wall detail captured.
