Compressor uses a Local Operator algorithm and has a few more adjustments. Compression affects the tonal compression. For bracketed HDRs, try numbers between 5 and 10. For single shot pseudo-HDRs, start below five. Contrast affects the local contrast adaptations, Smoothing smoothes the contrast controls, Brightness affects the overall brightness, Gamma affects the image curve brightness, Saturation affects the overall color saturation and the white and black point sliders affect white and black clipping. Experiment with the settings until you are pleased with the results in the Navigator and 100% Preview window.
