Step 21: Next we're going to open the HDR Conversion dialogue box under Image> Mode > 8 bit/Channel. (You can also open this by selecting 16 bit/Channel.) "Local Adaptation" is the best Tonemapper in Adobe Photoshop CS3, but no matter how we push and pull the Toning Curve, we're not satisfied with the results. So we're going to Cancel this operation and open our 32-bit HDR into two other Tonemappers to see if we can't get better results.
