VALLEY OF DEATH: That's what Tomas Kaspar named his salt-blasted landscape. He waited a year and traveled more than 800 miles to get the shot. Canon EOS-1Ds, 14-40mm f/4L Canon lens with circular polarizer and 3-stop Singh-Ray split ND filter. Exposure, 1/40 sec at f/22; ISO 100. Converted to b&w; contrast, curves, and levels adjusted in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
